Paul’s gospel message missing in Jesus’ and Peter’s gospel

If you think Peter and Paul’s gospels are the same, consider this:

The setting:

Jesus and His 12 apostles have been preaching the gospel of the kingdom for years.

Matt 4:17 KJV   From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matt 4:23 KJV   And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matt 10:6 KJV   But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matt 10:7 KJV   And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

From these verses it is clear that the gospel of the kingdom was being preached by Jesus and the 12 to Israel only.  Note: Jesus is still alive at this time which proves that His death, burial and resurrection by which we are saved today were NOT part of the gospel of the kingdom being preached – impossible.

New setting:

Now Jesus begins to tell the 12 of His death, burial and resurrection (DBR).  See their response below,  BEFORE the cross (Matt.) and AFTER the cross (John).

Matt 16:21 KJV   From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Matt 16:22 KJV   Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

John 18:10 KJV   Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

John 18:11 KJV   Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

John 20:27 KJV   Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Mark 16:14 KJV   Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.  Wow!  Read that again, please.

Note: the above verses are not being interpreted, they are just facts we get from reading them.

From these verses it is clear the gospel of the kingdom did not include Jesus’ death burial and resurrection. (DBR)   The 12 did not preach the cross, the 12 did not believe Jesus rose from the dead even AFTER He rose.  Mk 16:14.

What difference does this make to us today whether these gospels were different or not?  The answer should be obvious.  If we believe those two gospels are the same, we will not have the correct gospel to believe and to be saved by.  This is because to combine the kingdom gospel which excluded the DBR that Jesus and the 12 preached under the law, and all that was required by this gospel, is to deny the gospel of the grace of God, given to us by Paul, by which we are saved by today, which DOES include the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

Conclusion: If the 12 didn’t preach or believe in the resurrection even AFTER Jesus rose, it could not be the same gospel that saves us today.  And if these 12 men living and walking with Jesus for over 3 years, did not believe Jesus rose from the dead, then it is obvious that the popular belief of OT saints were looking forward to the cross for their salvation, is false.  And so is the imagination of there being only one gospel in the bible.
